Harris Irwin, a UK-leading and award-winning specialist care, extra care and dementia housing architectural practice, has now been a part of Zetland Estates for over 17 years.
During that time, they have completed more than 23 major residential care projects with several more in the planning process.
Since they joined the estate, back in 2005, the business has grown substantially taking on several new members of staff this year alone.
This has meant the business needed to expand its headquarters and we are pleased to say we were able to accommodate this as they have now taken up occupancy in an adjoining room within the stable block area on the Estate, doubling their office space and allowing them to continue to grow and expand.
Their specialist healthcare services are widely sought after with over 80% of their work coming through repeat commissions within the industry.
The unique skillset and knowledge of the healthcare industry that Harris Irwin can provide when it comes to architecture saw an influx of projects in the last few years which prompted the need for expansion.
They are showing no signs of slowing down either as they have continued to grow throughout 2022 welcoming a number of Architectural Assistants and Technicians to the team with hopes for this to continue throughout 2023 with several exciting job openings on offer.

Earlier in March of this year, two care homes designed by Harris Irwin were shortlisted for the 2022 Care Awards which recognised their innovation in care home management, operations and delivery.
More recently this month they have also been short-listed for a design award for Chichester Grange in Chichester, West Sussex becoming a finalist in the Care Home Design of the Year category of the 2022 Leaders in Care Awards.
