Aske Hall Locomotive Sign

Businesses on the Estate may have noticed the recent addition of some new ‘Aske Hall’ signage in the passage entrance to the courtyard. This sign is another perfect example of the rich history here on the Estate and is actually from a Greasly designed Class B17 locomotive that was built at Darlington Works in 1931.
The locomotive was named after the Hall here on the Estate and ran on the London North Eastern Railway line until it was eventually decommissioned in 1959.
